A recent national survey commissioned by Optimum has shed light on the profound integration of the Internet into the daily lives of Americans. The survey revealed that the average person spends more than 10 hours a day online. This significant portion of our waking hours is dedicated to a wide array of digital activities, painting a clear picture of our reliance on a strong and stable Internet connection.
The survey, which polled 2,000 adults, breaks down this online time into two main categories: approximately five hours are spent watching videos, including TV shows and movies, while the remaining 5.4 hours are dedicated to a variety of other online activities. This "other" category, which the survey dubs "the three B's," is dominated by Browse, paying bills, and buying.
