- Confirm your move-in date: We’ll review your plan and the equipment you’ll need.
- Set up your service: After your move, we’ll either schedule a professional technician installation or if you’re eligible, send you a self-setup activation kit for easy setup.

Am I eligible for self-setup?

How can I set up my move?
It’s easy! Just call 1.866.347.4784 or simply fill out the Move Information form above to get started.
What happens to my equipment?
On most occasions, you can keep your equipment when moving. If your services and new location are eligible for self installation, you will be able to set up your equipment without specialist assistance – however, our specialists are always happy to help. If your devices are not compatible with services at your new location, you can return the old equipment and we will ship you new equipment.
How do I take my services to my new address?
You can schedule an installation before you move or sign up to receive a self-setup kit. Call us at 1.866.347.4784 or fill out the Move Information form above to find out if your services and new location are eligible for self-setup.
Can I keep my current plan and promotion?
Optimum customers can keep their current service plan and promotion if it's available at their new address. Keep in mind, offers vary by area. If you can't keep your current plan, you can shop for new Optimum offers.
How quickly can my service plan be moved?
Service plan moves can be scheduled up to 30 days in advance of your move date. If you are qualified for an Optimum self-setup kit, you can activate services at the new residence the day you move in. Optimum technicians are available to professionally install services as well - simply schedule an appointment for the day after you move in.
Do I have to pay to move my services?
In most cases, move service transfers through Optimum are free of charge.
What can I do if there is time between moving out and moving in?
Don't worry if there is a gap in time between moving from your previous home into your new one. Optimum will not bill customers for those periods—and we'll keep you connected on the go to Optimum WiFi hotspots and Streaming TV.
What if I need to change my order or move in date?
Making a change is easy! Give Optimum a call at 1.866.347.4784 to make any changes.
What happens if Optimum doesn’t provide service at my new address?
Call us at 1.888.677.5104 if it appears that Optimum service is not available at your new address. We'll check to see if that's correct and help you find another option for service, if necessary.
