You can enjoy laughs, gasps, popcorn, and quality time with your loved ones from the comfort of your home!
Fortunately, there are so many options for streaming! Devices such as mobile phones, tablets, computers, and television screens make it possible to catch all your favorite films. For simplicity’s sake, we are going to focus on the possibilities for streaming on your television screen.
Connecting and Staying Connected to the Internet
Before you are able to stream, it’s important that you make sure that you have all the necessities! This includes a router, Internet-connected device, and a high-speed Internet connection. If you’re unsure of which Internet speed is best for you, you can read our recommendations here. Basically, the faster your Internet speed is, the better your viewing experience will be when it comes to high-definition films. The easiest way to go about this is to have a wireless router set up at home. If you choose to set-up an Internet connection that physically connects to your hardware, you will need an decently sized Ethernet cable.
To connect to the Internet via your Smart TV or streaming device, you will need to navigate to “settings” either using your TV or streaming device remote. Next, you will need to select your Wifi network and type in your Wifi password. Once you have done this, you should navigate to the specific streaming app you are interested in using to make sure you have successfully connected.

If you want a simple, all-in-one experience, we suggest streaming directly through a Smart TV. Some companies that offer them include Samsung, LG, Sony, Apple, etc. Fortunately, they come in many different sizes and span various prices ranges. Smart TVs boast high-screen resolution, built-in apps, and a wireless Internet connection option. How to Use a Smart TV or Streaming Device
Connect your Smart TV or Streaming Device
First, you will need to set up either your Smart TV or the streaming device. If using a Smart TV, you will need to access your TV settings using your TV remote in order to connect to your Wi-Fi. This can be done by selecting your Wi-Fi network and typing in your Wi-Fi password.
If using a streaming device, you will need to first set your TV to the correct input once you have plugged in your device (i.e - Amazon Firestick). From there, you must follow the directions written on your TV screen. Once you are brought to the homepage, you can navigate to “Settings” where you will have the opportunity to select your Wi-Fi network, type in your Wi-Fi password, and connect.
Download and Access Your Streaming Apps
If you are using a Smart TV, you will notice they typically have all the popular streaming apps on the homepage already. If the app you wanted is not listed on the home page, you will need to navigate to the “Store” or “Channels” app on your TV to download HBO Max, Netflix, or whichever streaming app you are interested in.
Once you have downloaded the apps you want, you can launch them, sign up with your email and chosen password, as well as sign in once your account has already been created. From this point, you will be able to browse through all available movie options directly from the app!
If you are using a steaming device such as an Amazon Firestick, you will need to either go to the Amazon App store to download your streaming apps of choice or you can utilize the search function and voice control option by clicking the microphone button on your remote. This will eventually lead you to your homepage where all your downloaded applications live.
As for Roku, you will be able to search and download streaming apps by simply clicking the home button on the remote and navigating to “Streaming Channels.” From there, you can find the apps you wish to add and select them. After that, the app will download, and you will have the opportunity to sign up and eventually sign in directly from the home page.
