Optimum’s Ongoing Commitment to Strengthening New York

This holiday season, Optimum is showing up for its New York communities in more ways than one to ensure local residents have the essential resources and reliable connectivity they need to thrive 

Optimum’s dedication to the people of New York goes far beyond providing fast and reliable internet. We are deeply invested in supporting our communities in meaningful ways, most recently through a variety of food drives and charitable initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors. 

As a proud, long-time supporter of Long Island’s leading hunger-relief organization, Island Harvest Food Bank, Optimum is matching donations made by its employees and business customers – up to $10,000 – through a virtual donation campaign. This initiative allows our team and customers to join together in the spirit of giving, ensuring that each contribution helps provide a meal for families on Long Island who may be facing food insecurity. 

Our commitment to Brooklyn is equally strong. Optimum continued its partnership with Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso’s annual Thanksgiving food distribution event, contributing a $5,000 donation that supplied fresh produce, non-perishable goods, and other essentials to local organizations fighting hunger.  

In the Bronx, Optimum supports local food drives, including those held in Co-Op City, to ensure families have access to vital resources during the holidays and months to come. And in response to a recent boiler collapse at a New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) building, Mitchel Houses, Optimum provided a $3,000 donation to the Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New York for the purchase and distribution of hot meals.
