Bronx, NY — January 8, 2026 – News 12, the preeminent hyperlocal news source across the Tri-state area, today announced the return of Rebuilding the Bronx with all-new partner, Bronx Neighborhood Housing Services CDC, Inc. (Bronx NHS), and sponsor, SOMOS Community Care.
Rebuilding the Bronx, which premiered January 6, 2026, at 5am ET on News 12 The Bronx, will continue to provide viewers with valuable insights to help families access affordable housing, home repair programs, and neighborhood resources. Bronx NHS will have a featured segment each month, spotlighting community programs and personal stories that empower Bronx residents to strengthen their neighborhoods and secure lasting stability.

Last year’s Rebuilding the Bronx program drove incredible results for the 2025 partner Rebuilding Together NYC. After a year of exposure on News 12 The Bronx, application submissions for the Targeted Home Improvement Program (THIP) were up 530% year-over-year.

Viewers can watch Rebuilding the Bronx every Tuesday and Thursday morning throughout the year on News 12 The Bronx starting at 5am ET, with additional airings at 6am, 7am, and 12pm ET. The Bronx NHS segments will air monthly beginning January 2026.
