Get ready for a JAWsome week! 2022 brings you a great lineup that shark FINatics will love!
This will be the 34th installment of Discovery’s Shark Week, beginning on Sunday, July 24 at 8p ET/PT.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be the host this year, as well as have the honor of being one of the first-ever Master of Ceremonies.
Tracy Morgan and the cast of “Jackass” will also be making appearances.
Shark Week 2022 will be debuting 23 new specials this year.
Great White Battleground
Michelle Jewel is eager to discover the reasoning for the great white sharks of South Africa’s aerial attacks. She believes they are for reasons beyond just hunting prey, so she heads there to decipher the secret language of white shark breaching.

Jackass Shark Week 2.0
Johnny Knoxville sent the boys on a horrifying mission last year. Now the gang is back to help their friend Poopies get over his fear of sharks.

Great White Open Ocean
In 2020, shark diving expert Jimi Partington was nearly killed by a great white shark. Looking to overcome his PTSD, he decides to get back in the water with the ocean’s biggest mega-sharks. But what comes off as a seemingly positive experience, quickly evolves into a battle for life and death.

Air Jaws: Top Guns (working title)
High-flying sharks return, but now there is a near team trying to become the “top guns” of Air Jaws. Dickie Chivell and Andy Casagrande use high-tech technology hoping to catch the largest great white ever seen.

Great White Serial Kill: Fatal Christmas
A shark attack killing a surfer in Morro Bay, California on Christmas eve prompts investigators Ralph Collier and Brandon McMillan to conduct a forensic investigation, as well as gather eyewitness accounts to identify the suspected killer: an 18-foot great white.

Rise of the Monster Hammerheads
Reports of two legendary, tremendous great hammerheads – Big Moe in the Florida Keys and Sunken in Andros, Bahamas lead Dr. Tristan Guttridge and Andy Casagrande to ponder whether there is a clan of monster hammerheads sharing the same DNA.

Impractical Jokers Shark Week Spectacular (working title)
Being the kings of antics and fearlessness when it comes to public humiliation, the Impractical Jokers partake in extreme, mortifying challenges and dares to dispel the myth that sharks are man-eating beasts.

Jaws vs. Kraken
Dr. Tristan Guttridge conducts a mission to better understand the battles between great whites and giant squids after discovering photos of great whites with peculiar scars believed to be the result of fights with giant squids.

Pigs vs. Shark (working title)
The famous swimming pigs of the Bahamas may be endangered. Some belief that the local tiger shark population are now feasting on time due to acquiring a recent taste for pork.

Island of Walking Sharks
Forrest Galante, Animal Planet’s International wildlife conservationist and biologist takes a trip to Papua New Guinea to prove that sharks are evolving to be able to walk on land.

Mechashark Love Down Under (working title)
Shark expert Kina Scollay and his team go to a top-secret location off of New Zealand. They bring a unique one-man-submersible in hopes of discover a mating ground for Great Whites.

Mission Shark Dome (working title)
A team of shark experts rethink ancient diving bell technology to develop a research platform called “Shark Dome.” Dr. Austin Gallagher and Andre Musgrove enter the Shark Dome in order to conduct deeper free dives so that they can get closer to great white sharks.

Tracy Morgan Presents: Sharks! With Tracy Morgan (working title)
Tracy Morgan teams up with nationwide shark experts to identify the most ferocious sharks out there, ranging from rare species to stealth predators. Tracy talks about his favorite shark, their capabilities and their adaptations.

Shark House (working title)
The surfacing of never-before-seen footage of a pack of orcas killing a great white prompts Dickie Chivell to build an underwater habitat called 'Shark House.' He aims to live on the sea floor for seven days, seeking out the remaining great white sharks in South African waters.

Monster Mako Under the Rig
Researchers discovered a mysterious group of mako sharks who migrate around Florida and up to Rhode Island from the Gulf of Mexico. They refer to these makos as 'mavericks’ and seek to discover what sets them apart from other makos.

Jaws vs. The Blob
A new ocean phenomenon, The Blob, prompts juvenile great white sharks to feed off monster 20ft adults off the coast of Guadalupe Island. A team of shark experts dive deep to discover if the young sharks survive or become snacks.

Clash of Killers: Great White vs. Mako (working title)
Scientist Dr. Riley Elliott tracks down two of the ocean's most legendary apex predators – great whites and makos – as they embark on a collision course off the coast of New Zealand during their yearly migration.

Shark Women: Ghosted by Great Whites (working title)
Alison Towner has risked her life many times while studying great white migration patterns over the past decade in South Africa. Now she’s putting together an all-star, all-female, new generation of shark explorers. They will pull all stops to track missing white sharks.
