What is Optimum Amplify?
Optimum Amplify is a smart connected home device and speaker system with Alexa-enabled voice command that can connect to your TV and other Internet-connected devices. The system includes a main Optimum Amplify speaker device, along with power supply, power cord, and 3.5 audio to optical audio cord that can connect to your TV. Optimum Amplify is available for a special price to Optimum customers.
How do I set up Optimum Amplify?
When your Optimum Amplify kit arrives at your house, you’ll need to download the Optimum Amplify app on an Internet-connected device. From there, the app will guide you through a full installation process, which will include plugging in your new Optimum Amplify speaker, connecting to your Amazon Alexa account, and downloading video skill to enable voice-command for your TV. Physical setup is very easy, and only requires a maximum of two connections, one from the speaker to a power source and another to your TV. You may also connect to the speaker directly to other devices via traditional analog 1/4 inch audio jack, optical audio input, or a Bluetooth connection.
Is Optimum Amplify wireless?
Optimum Amplify does require a wired connection to a power source and an Optimum TV Box. Other than that, the experience is fully wireless, and will respond to voice commands.
How do I connect Optimum Amplify?
Simply download the app, follow the instructions, plug in your speaker, connect audio to your Optimum TV Box. And finally, connect to your Amazon Alexa account.
How do I reset Optimum Amplify?
To perform a factory reset on an Optimum Amplify, hold the Bluetooth and Action buttons together. After two seconds you'll hear a notification sound advising you to continue holding the buttons. The light ring will play an animation, and once the light ring is filled, you can release the buttons and your device will begin to factory reset.
